Building Surveys

Land Surveys
An accurate and thorough land survey is often crucial in any building development to allow work to proceed smoothly and cost-effectively.
Surveys should always be carried out as early as possible in the planning process. At the outset, we will highlight any site hazards or items that should be added to the survey remit.
The land survey will provide the boundary and detail within a site, as well as potential restrictions and problems that may be encountered, enabling us to plan site development from inception to completion.
Arboricultural Surveys
- A Tree survey is regularly a requirement of Local Planning Authorities. The Garland Group will provide the following;
- Arboricultural Impact Assessment, to assess the impact a potential development will have on trees and shrubs.
- Arboricultural Method Statement which shows the methodology for the implementation of all protection measures.
Traffic Impact Assessment
This is a prerequisite in larger scale developments and accompanies planning applications for a wide range of commercial and residential developments.
A transport assessment provides details information on the impact of a development on local transport infrastructure.
