Observer Building
- Location:
- Observer Building, Hastings
- Client:
- Private Client
- Project:
- To achieve planning for a dilapidated building in excess of 60,000 sq ft
This is one of the Garland Group’s more substantial planning schemes.
The building, which was a former newspaper warehouse has been closed since 1989 and is a landmark property in the centre of Hastings, consequently there is much local interest in the site.
The Garland Group’s planning team’s expertise in project management has been vital in co-ordinating the delivery, for a number of separate professional disciplines, of the documentation necessary for this application, which will be for a mixed use scheme consisting of retail, hotel and residential, with an element of affordable housing which is being discussed with Local Authority
This important regeneration project will provide significant benefits to both the new residents and the surrounding communities.
